A friendly and supportive space where parents can pause and children can play

Book to play

Founded by a GP with over 15 years of experience, The Nook is a somewhere to enjoy nutritious food, proper coffee and delicious smoothies whilst your children explore our play space that helps them to understand the building blocks for a healthy lifestyle.

From our role play space where they can buy groceries at the supermarket and learn about different foods, to the café where they can enjoy building balanced plates and serving them to their friends. The children can develop motor skills and dexterity with developmentally appropriate toys, and stepping stones for improving balance and proprioception.

We also want children to appreciate the importance of moments of calm so have created a cosy corner to read books and feel safe to discuss their feelings.

The Family Nook is designed for 0 - 6 years olds, but we hope it will be a place the whole family can enjoy and most importantly, have FUN!

Littlest Nooks Play & Support

A session for our Littlest Nooks to explore the space on their own, while you get to meet and chat with other parents whilst enjoying a drink and a nibble. Hopefully this will allow you to meet other parents at a similar stage along their family journey.

This session will be a chance for you to come and have an informal chat with a GP and Midwife. We will be there to offer general advice and support regarding the earlier stages of your journey in family life. Lucy Moggridge, our midwife, is also fully trained as an IBCLC and therefore can support you with any breastfeeding issues or concerns.

Baby scales will also be available for you to be able to weigh your baby.

Dried Flower Wreath Workshop

Come and join us for a fabulous evening making your own dried flower wreath to take home.

Bring your friends or have fun making new ones throughout the evening.

Your ticket includes everything to make your own beautiful wreath with a wide selection of different flowers and foliage to use. You will be guided in how to make the wreath but the design is up to you!

You will also be provided with a welcome drink and nibbles.

Do you have a young baby and have been thinking about how you are going to tackle weaning? Or are you just about to start weaning/have just started but finding it all a bit overwhelming and feel unsure of the best way to go about it?

Well we have developed this course to support you with this.

Led by an experienced GP and lactation consultant, we will help you to know when your baby is ready to start weaning and what this journey will look like.
